MSM
MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) is a naturally-occurring form of sulfur compound that is produced by microscopic planktons living in the oceans. Organic, biologically active sulphur is extremely important for health and the formation of connective tissue, healthy skin, amino acids and blood proteins. The largest concentrations are found in joints, hair, skin, and nails. However as part of the aging process MSM in the body begins to decrease and so deficiencies may occur. MSM has many benefits including: as a natural analgesic and pain reliever which can help in joint pain such as in the case of arthritis, hip dysplasia and other joint problems, MSM can alleviate the symptoms of some allergies and MSM is an antioxidant which quenches free radicals produced as a result of stress and pollution.
