Phytopet Garlic and Echinacea 30ml and 100ml
Phytopet Garlic and Echinacea is a combination of herbs traditionally used for all types of infections and to help support immune system function. Contains garlic, echinacea, golden seal, myrrh and Pau D'arco.
Use for any infection:- bacterial, viral or fungal. Specific for acute infections. Can also be used to help the gums for gum disease.
Suggested use:
- Large dogs - 10-15 drops
- Medium dogs - 7-10 drops
- Small dogs & cats, rabbits etc - 5-7 drops
- Avery birds & poultry - 10-20 drops per 100ml water feeder
Add drops to a teaspoon of boiled cooled water. Add to food or directly to mouth.
To suppport the gums, dampen a cotton bud with water then put some neat Garlic and Echinacea onto it and dab on to the gums. Alternatively put a few drops onto a cloth and wipe gently around the gums.
Store in a cool, dark place out of reach of children. If in any doubt, always consult your vet.
Contra indications: Due to the potent immune enhancing properties of this combination it is advisable to Avoid if pregnant or likely to become pregnant, using anticoagulant drugs, auto immune diseases, recent organ transplant or skin graft. Avoid sugars (sugars reduce immune system ability to function).
ADDITIONAL DETAILS ON INGREDIENTS
Garlic (Allium sativum): Renowned throughout history for its Anti-microbial, immune enhancing and anti-catarrhal properties. Shown to exert potent anti-bacterial, anti-viral and antifungal activity. It has been shown to be more potent than many commonly used anti-fungal agents. Sulphur compounds found within Garlic help to reduce mucus congestion. Combine this action with Garlic’s anti-microbial properties it makes the herb a good remedies for sinusitis, nasal congestion, and any upper respiratory tract infection.
Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea): Well known for its immune enhancing properties, Echinacea not only elevates white blood cell count and boosts interferon activity etc, it also exerts a direct anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal activity. Wild Indigo (Baptisia tinctoria): Wild Indigo has anti-microbial and antiseptic properties and although it is indicated in most infectious states, it is specific for upper respiratory tract infections.
Golden Seal (Hydrastis canadensis): Useful in a broad spectrum of bacterial infections, Golden Seal also exerts potent anti-fungal and anti-parasitic activity along with its immune enhancing properties. It has also been shown to have the ability to sooth and tone mucus membranes, this action along with its antibacterial properties makes Golden Seal particularly useful in treating complaints such as sinusitis, diarrhoea (especially infectious), urinary tract infections such as cystitis etc.
Myrrh (Commiphora molmol): One of the oldest and most revered anti-microbial’s on the planet. Used since before biblical times, for all types of infection. Listed in The British Herbal Pharmacopoeia as specific for mouth ulcers, gingivitis and pharingitis.
Pau D’Arco (Tabebuia impeteginosa): A South American plant which is also known as Lapacho. Due to its strong anti-biotic, anti-parasitic and anti-fungal properties and in particular its effect on Candida albicans, Pau D’Arco has become one of the modern herbalist most useful tools in treating Candida.
Contains Herbal Tinctures of; allium sativum (garlic), Echinacea purp rad, baptisia (wild indigo), hydrastsis (golden seal), commiphora (myrrh), tabebuia (Pau d'arco), solidago, myrica.
Please note:
Phytopet do use alcohol in their tinctures, which is considered one of the best ways to extract the active constituents of the plant and is far superior to glycerine and better absorbed than powders.
They only use a miniscule amount, however if you are concerned about the alcohol you can put the drops into a small amount of hot water which will evaporate the alcohol off and allow it to cool then administer.

Orders over £44.99 (and less than 3.5kg) are sent free of charge using Royal Mail 48 Tracked. There is however the option to upgrade to Royal Mail Tracked 24 for £1.49 or use a DPD Courier at £4.99

Orders over 3.5kg will need to be send with DPD as we are unable to ship heavy items with Royal Mail. DPD will attract an additional shipping charges – see below for more information.

Saturdays, Sundays and all Bank & Public Holidays are classed as non-working days and orders will be dispatched on the next working day.
Your order will be fully trackable, and you will receive a text and email (if supplied) when your order has been dispatched, and on the day of delivery you will receive an estimated 1-hour delivery window, with alternative options if you are not in.
We reserve the right to switch this service to Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day, in exceptional circumstances.
