Diet’ Dog Digest’Bioactive for Dogs and Cats
Digest’Bioactive (Probiotic & Prebiotic Complex) for dogs and cats by Diet'Dog is highly recommended to promote intestinal health and a stable intestinal flora in certain situations, such as a change of diet, stress, difficulty digesting food, after or alongside the use of antibiotics, following illness, travel or surgery, or after worming.
Its unique formula works by encouraging the friendly bacteria to multiply and to crowd out harmful bacteria. Friendly bacteria will then create unfavourable conditions for the growth of undesirable bacteria. It is also high in vitamins B and K, both essential for health, the production of mucus in the bowel (which has a protective effect on the lining) and encouraging the gut to repair itself.
• restores and maintains the natural balance of health-beneficial gut bacteria
• binds non-friendly bacteria and toxins
• promotes digestive health and supports immunity
Digest'Bioactive can work alongside Diet’ Dog Digestive Complex, Diet’Dog Superfoods and Superfoods Beta to promote a healthy digestions and support immunity.
Availabe in two sizes, 150g & 300g
HOW IT WORKS
Digest’ Bioactive is a unique complex of beneficial and naturally-occurring probiotic bacteria, prebiotics, intestine supporting clays and natural digestive enzymes (kanne) that restores, maintains and supports intestinal health as well as the natural balance of health-beneficial gut bacteria, promotes and maintains firm stools and encourages general health and immunity:
- probiotics Enterococcus faecium NCIMB 10415: an EU registered strain of probiotics approved for dogs and cats to restore and stabilise your pet's natural population of health-protecting good bacteria and maintain the natural balance of gut bacteria. This species grows rapidly in the gut and has been freeze-dried to preserve all the bacteria. 100 million of friendly bacteria per scoop;
- montmorillonite clay: an intestine supporting clay and a source of 67 minerals, to absorb toxins and bacteria (with a higher absorbency capacity than kaolin), encourage digestion (firming stools, soothing sensitive bowel) and promote the immune and maintain good health;
- prebiotics: Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) to enhance and support the growth of beneficial probiotic bacteria, particularly in the colon. The prebiotic FOS are fibres which cannot be absorbed or broken down by the body. They serve as a great food source for probiotics which stimulates the growth of the good bacteria;
- herbal prebiotics high in inulin and antioxidants such as burdock, dandelion and artichoke to encourage the growth of beneficial bacteria and promote healthy functions of liver and gall bladder.
- mannan-oligosaccharides produced from the saccharomyces cerevisiae are prebiotics that promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut and maintain digestive health;
- Kanne – natural digestive enzymes (fermentation of organic cereals (wheat, rye, oat) - certified GMO free) is a rich source of enzymes, lactic acid (the lactic acid is a natural disinfectant both in the body and outside. It is also a source of energy for the muscles of the skeleton and especially for the heart), minerals, B vitamins, trace elements and amino acids to help break down what pets eat, in addition to boosting the good bacteria count in their bodies. The bacteria that feed on fermentable cereals produce many beneficial substances, including short-chain fatty acids and certain B-vitamins. Additionally, there is some evidence that they may promote further absorption of some minerals that have escaped the small intestine, including calcium and magnesium;
Please always seek vet advise if your pet is ill and seek veterinarian advice before giving supplements to your pet if he/she is under medical supervision
