Goat Milk Plus Powder for Dogs & Cats 200g

Karnlea's 100% Naturally Prebiotic Full Cream Goat Milk Powder with added Pro and Postbiotics. The same nutritious whole food supplement, that can provide many benefits for your pet but now with added beneficial bacteria. It is a powerhouse of protein, healthy fats and minerals, and gut healing bacteria. Regular goat milk powder does not contain any beneficial bacteria. This is because it’s a pasteurised product, which by nature kills both the bad and good bacteria. It’s a legal requirement in the UK for commercial sales that dairy products be pasteurised, which is why goat milk powders don’t contain any probiotics.

Supremely easy to use, it can either be sprinkled on food, or reconstituted back to a liquid using warm water. A dosage of 1:10 parts powder to water is recommended for an accurate reconstitution that will bring it back to its original state, but you can dilute 1tsp to 30-50ml of liquid for a tasty drink or more if you please.

Can be used as a boost for the microbiome, to help settle stomachs, and to provide extra hydration. The carefully chosen mix of pro and postbiotics, can also boost gut health, immunity, skin and coat health. It also naturally is prebiotic, meaning all aspects are covered for optimal gut health.

Goat milk is particularly suitable for dogs and cats because it has much smaller fat globules than cow’s milk, meaning easy digestion and suitability for pets. It’s a super appetite stimulant too, and great for sick or elderly pets as well as the very young.

Whole Goat Milk Powder

Karnlea's goat milk powder is sourced from higher welfare farms, using cooperative methods, meaning that the farmers are well and fairly treated as are the animals.

It’s 100% natural and contains no hormones, antibiotics or other nasties. Fully traceable and made using only 100% dried whole goat milk and carefully chosen pro and postbiotics, it’s a flexible supplement which is suitable for all ages, breeds, and every feeding type.

Pro and Postbiotics

While Goat Milk Powder naturally contains prebiotics, it does NOT contain probiotics or in fact any live bacteria. This means they need to be added back in to create a product that contains beneficial bacteria. Karnlea have added strains of pro and postbiotics that are proven beneficial to your pets. Goat milk powder is a great supplement, and now you can choose for it to also contain pro and postbiotics.

Probiotics – Live bacteria and yeasts promoted as having various health benefits especially to the gut flora and immune system. These populate the gut for a healthy and strong microbiome.

Prebiotics – This term relates to the food sources favoured by probiotic bacteria, typically fibres or in the case of goat milk, Oligosaccharides which are fermented by the probiotic bacteria in the gut microbiome and feed the probiotics.

Postbiotics – Previously known as Ghostbiotics, Postbiotics are the exciting kid on the block. They are basically parts of dead probiotic cells, or compounds that probiotics produce. Postbiotics are the end-products of probiotic bacteria, as inanimate bacterial cells and bacterial metabolites. They are an exciting new area to watch because of benefit to gut flora health.

Why Goat Milk?

Goat milk is much easier for pets to digest than cow milk. This is because of the much smaller fat globules. It’s rich in healthy fats, protein and nutrients, aids hydration when reconstituted and is a great recovery or sickness aid, due to its high palatability.
