PhytoPet Calm Xtra is a herbal remedy to help your pet cope with stress, separartion and hyperactivity.

Calm Xtra is a stronger alternative to the famous, fast acting herbal supplement Calm. It contains a combination of botanical extracts to help your pet cope with stress, anxiety and hyperactivity, including valerian, oat, skullcap, passionflower, wild lettuce and Jamaican Dogwood.

Works within 20 minutes. and is ideal for firework season and anytime your pet is stressed or anxious. Benefits of this product include:

  • Herbal support for Stress, Anxiety and Hyperactivity.
  • Fast acting 
  • Liquid Botanical Extract for ease of administration, no fighting to give tablets.
  • Concentrated, only requires a small drop amount.
  • Just add to food, drinking water or treat.

Suggested dose:

  • Large dogs - 10-15 drops
  • Medium dogs - 7-10 drops
  • Small dogs & cats, rabbits etc - 5-7 drops
  • Avery birds & poultry - 10-20 drops per 100ml water feeder

Add drops to a teaspoon of boiled cooled water. Add to food or directly to mouth. Acute dose: 3-5 drops every 2-3 hours.

Store in a cool, dark place out of reach of children. If in any doubt, always consult your vet.

Ingredients and how they support:

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis)
Naturally powerful, non-addictive and anti-spasmodic nerve relaxant, sedative, and pain reliever. Its actions are due to its calming and balancing effect on the central nervous system. Traditionally used for all states of nervous anxiety and irritability.

Skullcap (Scutellaria laterifolia)
Relaxing herbal remedy, traditionally used for nervous tension and anxiety with calming effect.

Oats (Avena sativa)
Gentle calming herb with a special affinity with the nervous system. In combination with Valerian, the synergy is special, each herb enhancing the action of the other.

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnate)
Traditionally used for sleeplessness, anxiety and irritability, its non-addictive calming effect is due to its action on the central nervous system.

Wild Lettuce (Lactuca virosa)
Traditionally used for hyperactivity, insomnia, anxiety, nervousness and excitability and to promote restful sleep. Works well in combination with Valerian and Passionflower.

Jamaica Dogwood (Piscidia erythrina)
Well known mild sedative and nerve relaxant, used by herbalists for over-excitability and sleeplessness.

Contains Herbal Tinctures of; Valerian, Oat, Skullcap, Passionflower, Wild Lettuce and Jamaican Dogwood.

 

Please note:

Phytopet do use alcohol in their tinctures, which is considered one of the best ways to extract the active constituents of the plant and is far superior to glycerine and better absorbed than powders.
 
They only use a miniscule amount, however if you are concerned about the alcohol you can put the drops into a small amount of hot water which will evaporate the alcohol off and allow it to cool then administer.

  • Shipping with DPD Next Day Courier service at £7.99 [see below for exceptions] (please note this is a next day service, but from time to time this can take 2 days) 
  • Saturday delivery - with DPD £16.99

Orders over £44.99 (and less than 3.5kg) are sent free of charge using Royal Mail 48 Tracked. There is however the option to upgrade to Royal Mail Tracked 24 for £1.49 or use a DPD Courier at £4.99

Orders over £130 will be sent with DPD or Royal Mail Tracked 24

Orders over 3.5kg will need to be send with DPD as we are unable to ship heavy items with Royal Mail. DPD will attract an additional shipping charges – see below for more information.
 
Please be advised that during busier periods, such as Christmas and Black Friday, parcel deliveries may take longer to be delivered.

General Rules for DPD
 
Under normal circumstances, all orders placed before 1.30pm will be dispatched the same working day. Orders placed after 1.30pm will be dispatched on the following working day. Orders placed after 1.30pm on a Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday for delivery on Tuesday (or Wednesday for UK special postcodes). This also applies to orders received after 1.30pm on a Thursday.
 
Saturdays, Sundays and all Bank & Public Holidays are classed as non-working days and orders will be dispatched on the next working day.
 
Your order will be fully trackable, and you will receive a text and email (if supplied) when your order has been dispatched, and on the day of delivery you will receive an estimated 1-hour delivery window, with alternative options if you are not in.
 
We reserve the right to switch this service to Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day, in exceptional circumstances.
